Lateral flow tests are well established form of diagnostic tests for checking the presence of antigen (viral) when some one is infected with Covid-19. It detects presence of active Covid-19 infection.
The rapid antigen test can be used as a fit to fly test for entry to those countries that accept an antigen test. You can check the entry requirement for your destination country by visiting the foreign travel advice page on Gov website.
It can also be used as a pre-departure test for entry back into the UK. Those aged 12 and over are required to take a pre-departure test before returning to the UK, within 48 hours of their departure.

All orders placed by 4 PM (Monday - Friday) are dispatched on the same day for a next day delivery by Royal Mail.
Orders placed after 4 PM will be dispatched the following working day.

You can choose to collect your test kit from a local participating pharmacy instead. We have over 80 locations UK wide. Place your order online and collect your test kit during the pharmacy opening hours.
Within 3 hours if you have submitted your test results online between 9AM - 10 PM (GMT), 7 days a week. Test results submitted outside 9AM - 10 PM (GMT) will be verified within 12 hours, 7 days a week.

A lateral flow test is a small test cassette with a well for drops of sample to be added for testing and display which shows the results through lines depending on presence or absence of Covid-19 virus. It does not require analysis in the lab like a PCR test.
We recommend that you read and follow the manufacturer instructions carefully.
The brand of lateral flow test that we use requires you to take a swab sample from both nostrils only. The swab is then immersed in to the chemical solution. The solution tube has a dropper top which is used to add drops of the solution into the well in the test cassette. The results are displayed on the screen of the test cassette within 15-30 minutes.
According to the brand that we use, their test kits have data from clinical trials from the UK, USA, Sweden and China which show a combined accuracy of 98.8% (96.8% diagnostic sensitivity and 97.1% specificity).
The manufacturer of the kit has confirmed that the test kits are EC marked and fully registered with MHRA.
Also that "The UK Government Public Health England, Porton Down Laboratory, which reviews all lateral flow tests for the DHSC/UK Government, has validated the test to have exemplary accuracy at multiple viral loads, including for asymptomatic patients, and across the new different variants.
Once you are ready to do the test, please follow the enclosed instruction on how to complete the test. You are required to register your kit and after completion of the test, upload your results. Our team will assess your results and if appropriate, you will emailed a certificate.
The Lateral Flow Tests (non-travel) is intended for general use. As the free NHS lateral flow test kits have been stopped in most areas of the UK, the package offers access to lateral flow test kits for general testing at home or at a work place.
