What is a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate?

A Covid-19 recovery certificate is an official document to confirm that an individual has fully recovered from Covid-19 and has no current symptoms. If you have tested positive for covid-19 recently, instead of risking another positive PCR test, you can obtain a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate for travel. Many countries accept a covid-19 Recovery Certificate as an entry requirement.

Our medical team needs to have all the required information to be able to process your consultation and issue your certificate on time. If the information submitted is incorrect or incomplete, this may cause a delay.

What you must have to obtain a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate?

To obtain a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate, you must have the following:

• a positive test result (PCR or lateral flow/antigen test) between 11 and 180 days ago (you need to check the requirement for your destination country as they might have different requirements). We cannot accept photos of the test kit as a proof of a positive test.
• Your test results must state your full name, date of birth and the test date (this is also referred to as specimen date or sample date).
• Your covid symptoms should be completely resolved at least 72 hours before this consultation.
• You will need to complete the online consultation and upload your proof of positive results and your passport photo. This will be reviewed by our medical team. Based on your consultation and the proof submitted of the positive test result, our medical team will either issue a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate, request further information or reject. You will be notified by email (to the email address that you provide during your consultation).

What is the difference between "Covid Certificate", "Covid recovery certificate" and "Proof of recovery certificate"?

The terms "Covid Certificate", "Covid recovery certificate" and "Proof of recovery certificate" all refer to the same legal document/proof that states that the patient has fully recovered from Covid-19 and has no current symptoms of Covid-19.

What date will be shown on my Covid-19 Recovery Certificate?

The date on your Covid-19 Recovery Certificate will be the date of the consultation. This is the date on which you complete the online consultation to apply for a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate, through our website.

Can I scan the Covid-19 Recovery Certificate onto the EU Covid Pass or Verifly?

The Covid-19 Recovery Certificate comes with a QR code for certificate verification but we are not affiliated or connected to any third party apps or systems. You may upload the certificate manually where possible but there are no guarantees that it will be accepted by the EU Covid Pass app or Verify or similar apps. We recommend that you have a digital or paper copy or both with you when travelling. Having a paper copy also means that you do not have to worry about your battery running out.

Can children get a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate?

The parent or legal guardian of a child must check that the child meets the criteria for a Covid-19 recovery certificate and that it is accepted by their travel destination. The parent or the legal guardian must complete the online assessment on behalf of the child.

Travel rules change regularly due to the dynamic nature of the Covid-19 Pandemic. According to the entry rules on 16 February 2022, the USA accepts a Covid-19 Recovery Certificate where the positive test is within 90 days of boarding the aeroplane.
